Yesterday (October 2, 2014) we visited the Rio Bolo and Rio Frayle watersheds with the CIAT. We saw several microwatersheds in the Frayle basin that had lots of slippage due to cattle grazing (called patas de vacas). It was cold at first, but after hiking up and down we all got sweaty a bit. The sites were between 1700 m a.s.l. and 2600 m a.s.l. and getting there took a long time on a dirt road.
